I have watched this video multiple times per day over the last 3 weeks. It's such a magical performance with the symphony and has given me LIFE through a few rough days
Thanks so much!
Super nice, Robin!
Amazing Arrangement!!!
❤❤❤🤓👌✌❤🙌🤟👍🌹💋🌷💐👏🎉🎉🎉
Oh my those high notes😍 sharpy is back😎
perfection. This concert should be released as an album!!!
I really enjoyed listening to this. Very evocative piece. Also, great rendering! 😊
Thanks alot!
mega 🤩 gratuliere 👏😎
Vielen Dank!
Hi Robin ! I just got recommended to hear this fabulous piece. That was really lovely ! And you sure are lucky to get so many musicians to play your score. Regards.
Thanks alot for your kind words!
The halfway through crescendo was so magical … it’s all simply wonderful , I come to your channel to feel inspired 😊 and you always exceed my expectations 😂
Thanks so much!
Oooo that brass ❤❤❤
absolutely stunning! unreal midi programming and such a moving composition. look forward to seeing you take off!
HI Robin, I hope you don't mind a queston here. I'm guessing that maybe the strings are CSS, but what are you using for Brass Ww etc? I'm guessing it's a mixture of VSL Synchron and maybe other CS libraries. Thank you.
Strings are mostly CSS yes, with a little help from Performance Samples. WW are usually a mix of CSW and Synchron, Brass usually a mix of Synchron and Berlin Brass and Percussion usually Spitfire.
Hi @@RobinHoffmannComposer , thanks for sharing that info. It is a beautiful and soulful score.
Thanks alot @@stevemartinalmonds
You're welcome😊@@RobinHoffmannComposer
Simply wonderful music ❤
Thanks so much!
This is just so beautiful and sounds so real. Great work here Robin. Thanks for posting this 🙂
Can you describe your mock-up creation process? What kind of stuff do you 'add' in Studio One? Or can Dorico 5 itself sound as good too with external libraries?
Basically, in Studio One I assign the most appropriate sample patch to each midi note and do a mix. By now with NotePerformer 4 and good samples, Dorico can get pretty close to a good mockup, but for "final" productions I would still use the path of going to Studio One.
Oh that is friggin beautiful! Any more demos with Cinematic Studio Series?
Thank you. Pretty much all of my videos on here that are not real orchestra contain mostly CSS as strings.
@@RobinHoffmannComposer Okay, but slow and delicate such as this?
@@leuphoniemusic This for instance: ruclips.net/video/bG-7VXrRB_8/видео.html
@@RobinHoffmannComposer Great stuff! So you input your score in Dorico, assign the CS instruments and it plays back like that, basically?
@@leuphoniemusic Thank you! Not quite, I export Midi from Dorico and import it into a DAW where I create the proper Mockup. But with the continued update of NotePerformer and Dorico itself I don't think it won't be long until a mockup like this is fully executable in Dorico itself.
Starker Sound Einer der besten!! Respekt
Absolutely beautiful my friend!
Thank you!
Tolles Stück !!
Thanks alot, Adrian! Much appreciated!
@@RobinHoffmannComposer Ehre , wem Ehre gebührt! Melde Dich gern, wenn Du was mit Orchester machen möchtest. Würden uns freuen, Deine Stücke zu spielen!
This is just incredible and so reminiscent of 80s and 90s soundtracks. Subscribed with the force of a 1000 shooting stars. 🤩
Thanks so much, Daniel!
That's beautiful Robin!
Thanks alot!
so good!
Thanks alot, Tom!
This is absolutely magnificent, Robin!
Thanks alot, Karl!
Beautiful work
Thank you Dan!
Lovely texture there in strings and woodwinds too! Reminds me of Silvestri's Contact theme.
Thank you Ron!
This is gorgeous! Well done!
Thank you!
Magnifique !!!
Thank you!
A true masterpiece man, such a diversity of emotions evoked !
Thanks alot, Paul!
@@RobinHoffmannComposer Hey Robin, I was trying to check on your website but is there a way to buy the score ? I am just an amateur composer and I'd love to study the way you orchestrated this piece ! Edit : Nevermind I just found it on your Patreon, thanks for sharing your knowledge, it's super valuable !
Sounds awesome Robin! Thanks for posting this excellent work!
Thank so much, Steve!
@@RobinHoffmannComposer You're welcome!
Gives me major vibes of the ratatouille game soundtrack, really great stuff and I love it 🥰🥰🥰
Thank you!
@@RobinHoffmannComposer your welcome robin ☺☺☺
Excellent. Love the build-up in the end and Measure 114...bro! Nice!!!
Thanks Tom! Much appreciated!
did you write this in triplets or just equal 8th notes but marked swing? Just wondering how well classical musicians play "jazz" in central europe?
I just marked it "swing". But it is essential to have the groove established in the rhythm sections so the orchestra can just sit on top of it. Having them swing on their own is not going to be successful. And I requested players with Jazz background on some key positions (e.g. Tpts, Clar)
@@RobinHoffmannComposer makes sense! Thanks!
One of the best mockups i heard! The realism is incredible! I'm still struggling myself after years to create realistic mockups. Very nice Robin!
Thanks alot!
This is unbelievably good! Great job, I love it!
Thanks alot!
Some truly beautiful work here. The breadth and width of the orchestra are on full display. Very inspiring.
Thanks so much!
Come on, Robin! Why are you keeping us waiting that long for another music? Please, don't stop posting music! Your composition, orchestration, engraving and mockup skills are off the chart!
Sure, feel free to hire me to write more music for RUclips ;)
Your notation writing is absolutely incredible!
Thank you!
👏
You had me fooled with your mockup skills. That was spectacular! I want to see you writing something close to the fairytale/fantasy genre. Perhaps something lush and nostalgic like the melodies we hear in Aladdin or The Little Mermaid.
Thank you. Maybe in the future :)
@@RobinHoffmannComposer Make sure to post a link to download your score sheet then :P
You are such an excellent orchestrator! This is my first time seeing someone of your level using Dorico and sharing the screen for us. I enjoyed this so much! I was keeping my eye on the score all the time like if I was conducting it myself haha. We need more videos like this. I hope you don't mind me absorbing some tips and tricks from your writing :) Btw, Dorico got the most beautiful sheet. Everything so clean, professional and sharp!
Thanks for your kind words! Much appreciated! Yes, Dorico looks fantastic! Love it!
Great piece! Thanks for sharing your talent.
Thanks for listening
@@RobinHoffmannComposer I hope you get to score a western soon 😎
lovely
Thanks!
Hi Robin, It was nice to see your familiar name appear on my RUclips watch list, with a new beautiful score! I noticed you have a Patreon page. Maybe I can see the score sheets there(?). :)
Hey Allan, thanks for your kind comment! Yes the score sheet and many more are available for download on my Patreon. Would be great to welcome you there!
Extraordinary Robin love this!!! 👏👏👏👏💫💫💫💫
Thank you Julia!
As a amateur composer, this is both extremly inspiring and also frustrating at the same time! :P Astonishing work, man! Is it Dorico with VST's?
Thank you! No, the mockup was created externally in a DAW.
what would that (Dorico with VSTs) sound like?
I don't think you should use the premiere feature.
Because...?
@@RobinHoffmannComposer I think the topic has been discussed online quite frequently, but the short version is that it's annoying for viewers in most cases. I can see the use for livestreams and special occassions. Assuming the poster is present, it can foster a sense of community. But for 'everyday' regular video's, it gets repetitive and takes agency away from the viewer. You''ll get a notification of a new upload, but you can't watch it? That'll just make people turn off notifications for your channel, even if your stuff is good (because it is). My 2c.
@@snarf1504 Fair enough. Will consider this for future uploads.
